Anglers filming for Modern Day Outdoors had an extra camera watching them as they reeled in a hammerhead shark on Panama City Beach in Florida over the 4th of July weekend.
The footage, which was posted on YouTube by drone operator Curtis Williams, shows the approximately nine foot shark being caught and released.
“We got lucky enough to be filming when a friend from Denmark, who was in America on vacation with his family, hooked into a shark the minute the bait was taken offshore,” angler Jacob Saylor told WTVC. “We weren’t directly targeting hammerhead sharks but when your line is out there you never know what you’re going to hook into.”
