The shark-themed thriller 47 Meters Down: Uncaged is set for for release on DVD and streaming on February 3.
The film stars Sophie Nelisse, Corinne Fox, Brianne Tju, Sistine Rose Stallone, Brec Basinger and John Corbett. Directed by Johannes Roberts, the film is rated PG-13 for creature related violence and terror, some bloody images and brief rude gestures.
According to the official synopsis, tells the story of four teens diving in a ruined underwater city, who quickly find themselves in a watery hell as their adventure turns to horror when they learn they are not alone in the submerged caves. As they swim deeper into the claustrophobic labyrinth of caves they enter the territory of the deadliest shark species in the ocean.
The first installment of 47 Meters Down was a surprise box office hit, grossing over $44.3 million in North America –and over $58 million worldwide– on a $5.5 million budget, making it the highest-grossing independent movie of 2017.
