Shark Week 2017 is still a bad time to be a seal, including the singing variety.
To promote it’s upcoming shark-themed slate of programming, Discovery Channel released its first promo video for 2017.The commercial features Grammy Award-winning singer, Seal, serenading fans on a beachfront before being ambushed by a Great White.
The spot is a tongue-in-cheek riff on the 2013 promo campaign that featured Snuffy the Seal being devoured by a shark in front of a horrified audience.
Shark Week, now in its 29th season, will kick off at 7 p.m. ET on July 23.
